A Snapshot of Your Day


You are part of a highly motivated team and as a senior engineer you contribute significantly to the successful project execution of our business unit.

You master interesting technical challenges, coordinate the project team and work closely with the project management. You will help retrofit existing equipment to new technical standards, add new features and meet current requirements.

  • Across all project phases, from supporting the bid managers to handing over the project to the customer, you will work with our customers on global modernization projects and together shape the energy transition's path to greater sustainability.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Technical subproject management and engineering of modernization projects in steam and combined cycle power plants on steam turbines, as well as synchronous condenser conversion projects incl. coordination of the project team in the functional area
  • Handling of all project phases, incl. regular monitoring of the project for deviations (costs, deadlines, quality) in close coordination with project management
  • Preparation of I&C concepts for modernization in steam and combined cycle power plants, on steam turbines and synchronous condensers
  • Project planning and engineering of the I&C, interface coordination of the I&C, incl. execution of system integration, functional tests, as well as commissioning of the I&C
  • Responsible for planning and coordination of internal and external partners (suppliers, manufacturing, international engineering, etc.), as well as our customers
  • Training and supervision of colleagues regarding I&C on steam turbines and rotating equipment

What You Bring

  • You have successfully completed a technical degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, power engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering or comparable education
  • You have good knowledge in the field of general electrical engineering, power engineering and if possible in the power plant sector
  • Affinity for project management and the development of special topics and pilot projects
  • At best, you have knowledge of process automation and/or electrical engineering in the area of turbine control technology
  • You are willing to travel worldwide (up to approx. 30%)
  • Business fluent English characterize your profile
  • German language skills Desirable

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
