ABOUT ARDI


Atlas Relief and Development International (ARDI) is an international development nonprofit organization working to empower diverse communities affected by conflict to shape and participate in the peaceful, inclusive, rights-based, and secure futures they envision.

ARDI specializes in supporting civilians affected by the conflict in Syria.

ARDI is registered in the United States, Germany, Turkey, Iraq, and Syria; and we operate in areas affected by conflict and migration.

ARDI leads programming across a wide variety of development projects, including expertise in peacebuilding, women's empowerment, capacity building, civil society strengthening, political participation, economic empowerment, technical research, awareness-raising, and the amplification of diverse and minority voices.

***The role will lead the oversight and implementation of projects within ARDI's current and future programmatic portfolio, including developing tools and resources related to the logístical framework of achieving organizational and project aims. The role will work in close coordination with the Executive Director, the Operations Manager, and the Finance Manager to manage and build the capacities of ARDI's programming team and other staff, lead formal and informal project reporting, conduct meetings with high level donors and partners, design training curriculum related to thematic issue areas, provide technical guidance and support on behalf of field-based partners and beneficiaries, conduct monitoring and evaluation efforts across the scope of the project, conduct learning and reflection efforts to help design and follow an innovative programming strategy while overseeing the project implementation and logístical efforts at all stages and levels. This position directly manages several key programming staff and interns, while supporting the management of finance and operational staff members at the HQ level.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Programming

  • Lead the design and implement practical programming approaches to complex international development issues.
  • Lead research and teaching of local atmospheric changes in local geographic contexts to aid in the development of written materials or contributions to meetings.
  • Draft, review, and copy edit project deliverables to meet project requirements.
  • Track project progress and requirements to ensure correct submissions based on project timelines and expectations.
  • Lead the design projectrelated materials, including training curriculum, project tools and templates, and systematic approaches related to each specific project.
  • Lead the fostering of partnerships and network development efforts, including resource and stakeholder mapping, to help increase collaboration and opportunities.
  • Lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning efforts across all projects to identify and address trends, challenges, needs, achievements, etc.
  • Lead in tracking financial reports and other project submissions from the field office and local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
  • Other relevant tasks and efforts, as agreed upon.

Opportunity and Partnership Identification, Tracking, and Engagement
- and North American-based corporations with philanthropic donation mandates. Support tax deduction documentation efforts on behalf of ARDI for donations made to the organization.

  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective contacts with European and North American donors. Participate in both online and offline donor government meetings.
  • Participate in strategy and design meetings focused on designing programmatic activities, financial approaches, and strategic planning efforts that integrate finance, operations, programming, and communications efforts within the organization to achieve intersectional organizational targets that build upon ARDI's unique expertise, local capacities, and diverse network.

Organizational Operations

  • Oversee the drafting of internal and external policies related to the organization, our programmatic efforts, and other key focus areas relevant to our work.
  • Lead efforts to complete donor requests for operational information, documentation, policies and procedures.
  • Lead the organization of financial, operational, and programmatic folders (online and physical), and support the establishment of new or enhanced organizational systems and processes.
  • Lead coordination with donors, governmental agencies, and service providers in relation to ARDI's internal and external efforts.
