With around 7,000 employees, the SIEMENS Technology (T) department works together with the business units to secure the future of the Siemens Group.

T researches future technologies with internal and external partners (universities, startups,...), secures them with patents and supports their commercialization. Furthermore, T provides development services for the business units and supports them with approaches and methods for business excellence

We make real what matters. This is your role.

You work on R&D in the area of Profiling and Tracing, especially with focus on energy consumption
You evaluate new technologies, tools, and reference concepts by means of open source or commercial software, user documentation, internet research, source code and, if necessary, own prototypes
You will evaluate tools in energy profiling handson and summarize benefits and limitations of those
You have the flexibility to dig into a new topic, do research driven by your own motivation and interest
You document your work and communicate it with the relevant stakeholders

Use your skills to move the world forward.

You have a university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or engineering sciences
You have sound handson experience in implementing software with C/C++ (this is a must)
You have sound handson experience in using profilers and tracers for software analysis (this is a must)
You are familiar with OS internals and embedded systems (user vs kernel space, system metrics, etc.)
You have no problems to start the design and implementation of a solution / Proofofconcept from scratch
You have an independent and structured way of working
You speak either good German or good English
