Your tasks:
Implementation of an independent research project in the field of Egyptological 'Social Archaeology', ideally with reference to Thebes/Upper Egypt as well as presentation of own research results at conferences and workshops
2 SWS teaching load per semester
Supervision of homework and examination activities
Support for projects and events of the department Egyptology, the IAW and participation in the coordination of the German House Qurna/Thebes in cooperation with the German Archaeological Institute, Cairo Department (DAIK)

Your profile:

In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in 57 of the _Hochschulgesetz_ of Rhineland-Palatinate.
A successfully completed scientific university degree
Willingness and ability to contribute to the IAW's interdisciplinary research and teaching program in a committed, selfresponsible and teamoriented manner
Desirable:
Professional focus in teaching and research in the area of 'Social Archaeology'
Willingness to participate in projects of the work area in the Thebes area (including stays on site)

The position is paid according to
EG 13 TV-L and to be filled on 09/01/2024 for a fixed term of four years.

There is perhaps the possible option of an extension in accordance with the WissZeitVG.The position serves the purpose of academic qualification (habilitation).-We aim to increase the number of women in the field of research and teaching and therefore encourage female researchers to apply.
