They must be able to drive strategic and operational solutions and build strong relationships to advise and influence stakeholders across the region - including employee representatives such as unions and works councils.

A nuanced understanding of labor relations, including employee representative structures, and constructive management of such relationships is essential.


The Senior Director LER EU will partner with the HRBPs to integrate and execute LER specific strategic plans, projects, and objectives into the region in an effective manner, including meeting applicable metrics.

They will offer creative and effective recommendations and solutions for challenging while being sensitive to labor and employee relations matters, and will be responsible for development, execution, and adoption in the region of consistent labor and employee relations processes, programs and practices that support a positive and fair workplace culture consistent with Veralto's Code of Conduct and Core Values.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Platform HR VPs and L&E Labor & Employment (L&E) legal counsel and support them in the preparation, implementation, and ongoing operation of employee relations matters in Europe.
  • Provide regular and clear communication to the Veralto L&E legal counsel on labor and employee relations issues and opportunities.
  • Partner with HRBPs to ensure high performance and timely delivery of highquality LER services.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to HR, develops scalable best practices and drive education, process and program improvements, and audits as appropriate through training and other methods, which includes but not limited to manager and HR training to build greater awareness and expertise across the enterprise.
  • Audit, track, report on and generate insights on LER issues, problems to solve and opportunities using the Veralto Enterprise System tools and processes.
  • Leverage deep technical LER knowledge to review and improve policies and practices and provide guidance and recommendations in sensitive and complex LER matters consistent with company policies and core values in support of desired workplace culture.
  • Strengthen LER related compliance by proactively advocating for ethics and fairness while appropriately mitigating risk.
  • Responsible for driving education, process and program improvements, and audits as appropriate through training and other methods.
  • Develop and proliferate consistent and sustained adoption of Standard Work and best practice tools by HR organization and stakeholders.
  • Manage / conduct sensitive and complex HR investigations in Europe.
  • Serve as escalation point regarding Europe LER issues.
  • Liaise with Veralto's L&E Legal Team as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possesses a blend of deep LER expertise and experience and a proactive bias by leading and contributing to projects, initiatives, and ongoing programs.
  • Possesses and employs strong critical thinking and problemsolving acumen.
  • Excellent written and oral and presentation skills with professional presence; able to clearly and concisely communicate progress, results, and guidance to critical stakeholders in timely manner.
  • Able to garner respect of and influence HR and business partners at various levels of the organization and builds trusting relationships and followership with others.
  • Approaches decisions proactively and in a factbased way, makes effective and pragmatic choices, balances benefit and risk, maintains compliance, and drives holistic LER strategies.
  • Leverages facts and data from multiple sources, readily understands the data elements needed for specific analyses, and translates it into actionable LER strategies or solutions.
  • Is a selfstarter, manages time effectively, and has superior planning and organization skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines in fastpaced and matrixed organization
  • Possesses operational and customer service orientation with high sense of urgency.
  • Possesses empathy and understanding for needs of diverse groups

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or another related field
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Deep 8+ years of labor and employee relations experience gained in either specialist or HR generalist role
  • Subject matter expertise regarding major EU labor and employment laws and labor and employee relations landscape
  • Significant experience in managing, handling and executing employee relations investigations and preparation of appropriate documentation
  • Experience with project and change management
  • Experience preparing and presenting LER training/educational materials to large HR audiences
  • Experiences that demonstrate an ability to function independently and effectively in a complex, matrixed organization
