You'll join more than 5,000 CARIDIANS already working on the latest vehicle features and functions like automated driving, state-of-the-art charging technology, as well as a new digital ecosystem.

YOUR TEAM:

In the "User Experience & Customer Value" team, we build mobility services in a multifaceted environment, revolving around the Volkswagen brands.

These services are accessed through multiple touchpoints in a variety of car software platforms.

We work hard so that our users can stay engaged on their journey through our products and reach their destinations quickly and enjoyably.

This is why we design products across the entire lifecycle - from the very first contact to, oftentimes, a life-long relationship with Volkswagen
brands.

We are currently looking for a Senior Strategic Designer (M/F/d) to join our team.

You'll work directly with product owners, engineers, as well as peers in data science, UX and many other disciplines to shape the experience of our mobility services, all in an agile environment.

In your role, you will help the team navigate through design challenges by propelling design excellence and being an advocate for the user.

You will help us on our mission to build beautiful, easy-to-use, future-proof services that encompass strong design principles.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Design desirable and profitable products, services and experiences helping us shape new business models
Convince stakeholders (up to the CEO) with your ideas through excellent communication, relevant data and engaging prototypes
Implement single ideas and holistic strategies from the theoretical narrative to the end of the product life
Support the Board of Management with their decisions with all forms of strategic competence
Develop and negotiate strategic solutions together with all brands of the Volkswagen Group

WHO YOU ARE:

At least 10 years of fulltime working experience in a past life, you may have worked in a design agency, strategy consulting, product strategy, product innovation, corporate strategy, business insights, business analytics, business planning, goto market and/or growth strategy
Fluency and confidence in business acumen, including knowledge in strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and product development
Worked in an environment where service design, design thinking, UX design, design sprints and digital innovation are used daily
Ability to build and interpret financial models to quantify business impact
Track record in making ideas real and tangible, from concept to execution roadmap
Strong verbal and visual methods of communication to successfully convey and interpret complex business ideas to different audiences
Comfortable working in ambiguous situations with limited direction
