The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society.

The school offers master's programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research.

Its extensive international network positions it as an ambassador of good governance, characterised by public debate and engagement. The school was founded in 2003 by the Hertie Foundation, which remains its major funder. The Hertie School is accredited by the state and the German Science Council.

To cover a parental leave, we seek to fill the position of:

Associate Grant Administration (gn)
Part-time (30 hours/week)


Your tasks:

  • Administration of all acquired projects and grants, including ensuring smooth running and correct administration of the funds, following donor guidelines;
  • Coordinate for the strategic development in identifying and establishing external partnership and fundraising opportunities;
  • Provide assistance with event organisation and outreach activities

Your profile:

  • University degree in a field related to our research profile
  • Professional experience in the administration and acquisition of grants and research funds
  • Good knowledge about internal processing and external demands on third party funded projects (budgeting, reporting, etc.)
  • Reliable and selfstarting personality
  • Attention to detail
  • Very good English language skills, additional languages are an asset
