Job Summary:

We are looking for
Animal Technician for Colony Management for our
IS customer site located in
Bad Nauheim .

The technician will execute in vivo activities with the team.

To assist in the day to day welfare and maintenance of customer animal colonies, execute husbandry tasks including basic animal checks, animal holding room checks, support of the enrichment and general animal health programs and will perform procedure on animals according to instruction.

ACTIVITIES

Moving the animals
Daily inspection of the animals
Control & supply with feed
Control & supply with water
Technical control/check of the blower units
Set up mating, according to instructions using software
Plug check
Birth/youngstock control
Weaning
Marking by means of ear punches
Sampling for genotyping purposes (tail cut)
Herd management by means of software (CAT system) and the processing of the corresponding instructions (delivery, animal movements, etc.)
Killing animals according to software instructions
Health control and sampling within the framework of hygiene management
Supply of special feed and/or substances via drinking water
Weight control
Carrying out ip injections optional

Job Qualifications:

Experience in use/working with an autoclave (preferred)
Good knowledge of English or German
Availability to start work march 202
Availability for 1 month training in Italy
