The position is embedded in the project "Photonic quantum computer (PhoQuant)" of the
German Ministry for Education and Research. Employment is initially fixed to three years
and aheres to the legal regulations laid out in the WissZeitVG. The duration of the fixed
term generally corresponds to the approved project duration.

Specifically, we are looking for a dedicated PhD student to drive the
experimental reali-

zation of a photonic Gaussian boson sampling test system, in particular the reali-

zation and verification of a multiplexed squeezing source within the Integrated Quan
- tum Optics group, which itself is part of the PhoQS.


Academic duties include, for example:
- design and implementation of a novel laser infrastructure that foregoes Ti:Sapph

oscillators
- design and verification of adapted nonlinear waveguide samples for photon-pair

generation and quantum pulse gating at novel wavelengths, based on PPLN and

LNOI
sources and/or quantum pulse gates
- day-to-day supervision of Master and Bachelor students- ultrafast quantum optics
- ultrafast optics and pulse shaping
- integrated optics
- quantum source and process engineering
