In this position as a Postdoc (M/F/d) in our Molecular Biology R&D group, you will be responsible for developing novel technologies in the field of enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis, as well as documenting and presenting the results of your work.

We are a spirited, innovative, and interdisciplinary team supported by external partners.


A day in the Life:


  • Leading an R&D project in enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis
  • Development of a novel and innovative technology in this field
  • Planning and execution of experiments and direction of technicians
  • IP generation and collaboration with the IP team
  • Communication with the larger team, presentation of results

Keys to Success:


Education

  • Doctorate / Ph.
D. in the life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent).


Experience

  • Experience in the optimization of enzymatic reactions, particularly involving polymerases / DNAmodifying enzymes
  • Detailed knowledge of methods in molecular biology (PCR, cloning technologies, sequencing, gene synthesis etc.)
  • Experience in HPLC and / or Mass Spectrometry is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • DesignofExperiments (DOE)
  • Project management
  • Experience with the instruction of technicians is a plus
  • An analytical and creative approach to problemsolving, high degree of selfmotivation
  • Very good English language skills, German language skills desirable
