At AGCS our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department has an in-depth understanding of the business, to deliver a best-in-class sourcing, purchasing and vendor management services to business departments and stakeholders.


Working within the global Procurement Team and reporting directly to the Team Lead of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement you will be responsible for definition and execution of the Procurement strategy on a category level and on a global range.

This includes implementation of global strategic initiatives, realization of relevant procurement process adjustments and achievement of targeted savings.


Responsibilities:

In this role you will

  • Drive creation and execution of global procurement activities across the organization and act as a contact for all strategic purchasing predominantly in insurance category
  • Develop and manage global supplier base, align and implement procurement strategies related to spend and vendor status across the organization
  • Drive excellence in global sourcing processes by creation and improvements of procurement policies, guidelines, processes, templates, etc.
  • Preparation and management of vendor selection processes with business stakeholder and lead in contract negotiations until execution
  • Work in a close cooperation with different cross functional teams
  • Identification and execution of cost saving opportunities along the procurement value chain
  • Alignment with Allianz Group Global Sourcing & Procurement

To be successful in the role:
You will have.

  • Proven strategic sourcing background in finance/insurance sector or in professional services, a good understanding of insurance processes ideally in corporate business will be an advantage
  • Minimum 35 years depth procurement experience and capacity to negotiate and report to C level
  • Onhands experience in procurement category and vendor management
  • Experience in vendor selection processes (RfX) and good understanding of relevant contractual terms and conditions
Ideally you will also have

  • Proven experience in project management, agile methodology including formal certification
  • Practical knowledge in areas of procurement reporting, controlling and cost savings
  • Good understanding of overall procurement processes including procuretopay and relevant tools
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Products, Strategic Procurement Suite Ariba, SAP or similar
