The research group of Prof. Dr. Jonas Neher is looking for a research scientist to join their team.

Your tasks:

Requirements:

D. in Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience or related field

M.Sc. in Pharmacology, Biology or related field
B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering or related field

Required Skills:

In Vivo Models: Proficiency in working with transgenic mouse models of neurological disease, incl. use of stereotaxic instruments for surgeries, EEG experiments and analysis
Behavioural assessment in animal models: Proficiency in planning and conducting behavioural assessments in mouse models, incl. memory tests
Drug development and evaluation: Proficiency in drug administration techniques (IP, PO, SC, IV) for mice
Cellular and

Molecular Expertise:
Proficiency in biochemical and histological methods such as Western blot, PCR, ELISA, tissue processing and immunostaining

Imaging and

Data Analysis:
Proficiency in operating various microscopes, including confocal lasermicroscopes, with the ability to accurately capture and analyse pathological alterations

Teamwork and communication: Ability to collaborate closely with experts from various disciplines, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
Others: Experience in writing research grant proposals and scientific manuscripts
