About the Role

In this role, you will lead a SW Domain Cluster. A domain cluster potentially includes more than one related domain.

As a SW Domain lead, you will be responsible for all aspects related to the domain and ensuring that the team is fully equipped to contribute towards the successful delivery of the customer programs that the domains support.

Your Team

You will have a team of SW engineers.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of the domain technology. Drive domain forward and ensure we stay in lockstep with the stateoftheart industry practices.
  • Develop deep technical expertise within resources and create Subject Matter Experts in the domain.
  • Ensure the team is staffed appropriately to support all known projects. Responsible for daytoday resource management of technical team.
  • Ensures team is compliant with all Harman procedures and processes.
  • Makes development resource assignments to support project deliverables.
  • Responsible for planning and managing domain budget.
  • Work closely with the delivery teams to ensure that the customer programs are delivered as per our commitments ontime with high quality.
  • Take ownership on commitments. These must be are met and in order to do that, there must be a willingness to work across organizational lines.
  • Actively participate during RFQ/RFI phase for Digital Cockpit projects in cooperation with CBU/CPM
  • Drive improvements in SW development and constantly strive to improve from a technology, process, infrastructure, and tooling perspective.
  • Establish close collaborate with the testing team to ensure we deliver a highquality product, find defects early in development and more often than not, deliver right the first time.
  • Manage various internal stakeholders, including but not limited to delivery and CPM teams.
  • Ensure the team is fully engaged and motivated. Identify training and upskilling needs and help implement those. Manage the career aspirations of the team members.
What You Need

  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or related Engineering
  • 10+ years of industryrelated experience and handson experience with the technology domain.
  • 5+ years experience of managing large size development teams.
  • Good understanding of modern SW development processes, tools and practices.
  • Good understanding of how to manage large projects/programs.
  • Must have a good understanding of program management, preferably Agile.
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort with detailed information, including financial, technical tasks and workstreams, and deliverables/action items
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, attention to detail.
  • Must be adept at data driven decision making and when required, creating problem solving
  • Indepth understanding of all the supporting business functions and principles.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to have effective communication to all levels of the organization.
