This collaborative effort ensures our practices not only comply with regulations but also promote a culture of ethical conduct across the organization.

The afternoon transitions into educating our team through internal training sessions, emphasizing the importance of ABC in our daily operations.

By conducting due diligence assessments and operational audits, you reinforce our commitment to risk management.

In the wake of its separation from Siemens Energy, Trench Group is on a mission to establish a robust, bespoke compliance function.

We seek a dynamic Global Compliance Officer to spearhead our comprehensive compliance program.

This pivotal role involves the seamless coordination of our compliance efforts across the globe, working in tandem with dedicated local compliance ambassadors within the organization.

This position, which marries breadth with a hands-on approach, demands a proven capacity to influence and inspire. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role is at the heart of our governance structure.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Global Leadership: Spearhead all compliance initiatives worldwide, leveraging the expertise of compliance ambassadors within the organization to achieve these goals
  • Advisory Expertise: Offer authoritative guidance on compliance matters to various departments and local leaders
  • Framework Enhancement: Forge, execute, and refine our global compliance framework and procedural standards, with an emphasis on Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) and Export Controls
  • Education and Training: Devise and conduct extensive internal training sessions aimed at bolstering compliance awareness and practice
  • Control Mechanisms: Supervise internal control systems related to policy management, export control, thirdparty management, conflict of interest, gifts and hospitality, and whistleblowing protocols
  • Due Diligence: Perform thorough due diligence for potential and ongoing engagements with customers, agents, distributors, and suppliers
  • Audit and Investigations: Lead operational audits and manage investigations into whistleblowing reports
  • Risk Management: Proactively assess potential future risks and the implications of legal and regulatory shifts on our business operations

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: A Master's degree and/or Diploma in Law and/or Business Economics
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrable experience in a global professional or corporate setting, particularly within the manufacturing sector
  • Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of compliance risk areas, programs, and processes across: ABC, AML, Antitrust, Data Protection, Export Controls, Supply Chain, and Whistleblowing
  • Specialized Knowledge: Advanced knowledge in ABC, Third Party Risk Management, and Export Controls
  • Project Management: Established skills in project management and process optimization
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional ability to lead, collaborate, and foster teamwork across various levels of the organization
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, with German language skills being a considerable advantage
