Are you passionate about user-centered design and intrigued by the intricacies of automotive Human-Machine Interfaces? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our HMI section at Honda R&D Europe (Deutschland) GmbH as an internship/working student.


Background


Honda R&D Europe (Deutschland) GmbH, located in O enbach, is a renowned research and development center dedicated to pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation.

The HMI section plays a pivotal role in designing and developing new interfaces that enhance the interaction between drivers, passengers, and vehicles.

As an intern/working student in this section, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled professionals, gaining hands-on experience in developing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for future Honda vehicles.

This activity o ers a unique chance to contribute to the advancement of automotive technology while being part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization like Honda.


Target


This position will allow you to gain hands-on experience in UX design, UX research, benchmarking car usability, prototyping new concepts, participating in design thinking workshops and conducting user studies.


You should meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Media Design, Psychology, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required
  • Preferred if familiar with some of the tools like Unity, Figma, Blender, C#, Web development, or similar
  • Basic understanding of UX design principles and methodologies, including user research, wireframing/prototyping, information architecture, usability testing, interaction design, and visual design
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities are vital for collaborating effectively with our team
