We are currently looking for a

Product Designer - Growth

(all genders) based in Berlin as this is a hybrid role


Your mission with us:


  • As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing engaging and successful student experiences in our

B2C Growth Pod. Working on onboarding, the trial experience, and early student engagement. This role will report to the Head of Design and User Research and is pivotal for Lingoda as we scale our people, business and products.


Initiatives could include improving our trial experience, helping our students start their language learning journey, launching new subscription options, adding new languages to our offering and much more as we develop new growth opportunities.


You will work in our cross-functional Growth Pod, partnering with the Product Manager, engineers, and QA and be supported by our user research and product analytics teams.


Your tasks:


  • Work closely with Product Management, User Experience Research Marketing, and Engineering to align design strategies with business goals and technical capabilities
  • Transform ideas into successful intuitive designs

Your role:
infuse user experience in every detail, from concept to final design, shaping the product's future with clarity and creativity

  • Use data and metrics (such as conversion rates and user retention metrics) to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on designs based on user feedback and test results
  • Contribute to user stories and ensure that our engineering team has the appropriate designs, assets and guidelines to be able to successfully develop the designs
  • Support the creation of experiments, like A/B tests or multivariate tests, to optimise our product
  • Identify new user needs and generate innovative ideas
  • Develop hypotheses on leveraging our product portfolio to drive new user growth and produce designs to validate or invalidate them
  • Contribute to the enhancement of design processes within the organisation to optimise efficiency and quality
  • Give and receive feedback in design critiques and product conversations. Pairdesign to improve the work, ideate, and have fun together
  • Evangelise growth work and best practices across the company

You bring to Lingoda:


  • 3+ years of experience, preferably as a successful product designer at a B2C high growth scale or in a subscription business
  • Experience with industry standard product design tools such as Figma, Miro, Hotjar, User Testing, among others
  • Experience gathering qualitative and quantitative user data to identify opportunities and inform design decisions
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present your work and bring key stakeholders on board. You are confident in your ideas but open to learning from others
  • The ability to conceptualise, work in low and high fidelity, deliver solid visual design & communicate your work and rationale
  • An uptodate portfolio that demonstrates your skills
  • An experimental mindset
