SCOPE
The Accounting Assistant

  • Europe Shared Service is responsible for providing financial and administrative services for all Germany/ European entities, taking ownership of the accurate processing of all purchase invoices, timely payment runs and the accurate timely recording of all customer receipts

Responsibilities include:

  • Payment runs, invoice entry and journal entry for all entities.
  • Provide Oracle data input support to all Germany/ European subs.
  • Processing Germany employee expenses as and when required.
  • Help develop major supplier automatic uploads.
  • Posting daily bank receipts and payments.
  • Adhere to all reporting deadlines per the financial timetable.
  • Ensure all suppliers are paid to terms.
  • Assist in the development and acceptance of SLA's for the shared resource department.
  • Help develop best working practices.
  • Support shared service function as and when required

Skills

  • Relevnat university education and experience e.g. double entry bookkeeping, analytical and problemsolving.
  • Experience using Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Customer focused approach to dealing with suppliers and employees.
  • Time management skills, hitting deadlines.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Oracle capability.
  • English & German speaking / written.
  • Good communication skills
