Beschreibung

Duties:


  • Provides guidance and assistance as it pertains to Information Security.
  • Develops security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information and sensitive material.
  • Serves as the Command Security Manager, responsible for the oversight and administration of all required security disciplines, to include Industrial Security, Information Security, Personnel Security, and Special Security.
  • Conducts inspections, investigations, inquiries, and assistance visits and provides reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Manage the Special Security Program for the Command, to include overseeing the administration of all Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) within the Command and the handling of all Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Evaluates security program resources within the command and recommends actions to address requirements.
  • Responsible for the oversight of training related requirements.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on SBI and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less of the work schedule.
  • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain the SFPC certification within their first two years of employment.
  • Subsequent SPeD certifications are required with the requirement to complete one per year each consecutive year thereafter in the order mandated by the SPeD certification.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with information security (NFOSEC) methods, techniques to develop security standards or procedures to protect classified information and/or materials; and experience conducting security inspections and/or investigating security violations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS11).
  • Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligencerelated security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
