Senior Accounting Officer (m-f-d)**:

(Part time or Full-time; 25 to 38.5 hours/week; unlimited)

Your responsibilities:

Ensure proper and timely processing of daytoday business general ledger accounting and payment transactions, especially in regards to posting incoming student payments to the student accounts
Support of and close coordination with the Student Financial Services Office in all student invoice related tasks:
Student account management (account clarifications and reconciliation)
Preparing and sending outgoing student invoices (tuition fees, student accommodation, special programs, etc.)
Monitoring and dunning of outstanding receivables (student accounts)
Contact person for external service provider Brain Capital regarding invoicing, sales process and students in repayment of tuition deferrals
Prepare and process refunds (overpayments student accounts)
Supporting various projects and tasks in the Accounting and Student Financial Services Office
Close cooperation within the Finance Team from Accounting, Purchasing, Controlling and Student Financial Services

Your qualifications:

Successfully completed studies in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification
At least 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in accounting
Experience with German accounting software (DATEV, Hamburger Software) is a plus
Good knowledge of MS Office programs
Analytical skills, working independently and as part of a team
Good written and spoken English skills, and German language skills
Experience in dealing with in an international client base &interdisciplinary work with international colleagues
