Aalen University of Applied Sciences is looking for the collaboration with Professor Dr.

Dieter William Joenssen at the Research Center for Complex Systems (RCS) in the area Industrial Data Science to the earliest possible date a:

Academic Staff Member (f/m/d
- full-time 100% (39,5 hrs/week)

Are you passionate about data? Do you want to develop data-driven solutions with artificial intelligence? Can you imagine collecting data from different sources and systematizing it for analysis? Do you want to work on topics that advance humanity? Can you transfer your knowledge to teaching content? A yes is enough to start a conversation.

Your tasks:

Research and development of databased solutions and products
Development of ML models according to reference processes, e.g CRISP-DM
Development of automated model building pipelines, using MLOPs
Preparation of scientific publications
Representation of research results in the international community
Participation in international conferences
Transfer of research into teaching od the faculty in the focus areas: Data management and analysis

Your profile:

A passion for data
Thirst for knowledge and the urge to develop new things
Programming skills in a relevant highlevel language
Completed Master's degree in mechanical engineering/ computer science with a focus on machine learning or similar focus of related technical courses for PhD students
Independent working style, ability to work in a team and to conduct high quality research
Good command of written and spoken English
German language skills are helpful but not required

The position is initially limited to three years, but can in principle be extended to up to six years and is in principle divisible.
