Senior Executive Marketing & BD (M/F/x) with a focus on European projects

Location:
Düsseldorf, Frankfurt or Munich

Main purpose of the role:

This is a great opportunity to work in a role with a European scope and a focus on key growth areas of our firm.

You will be part of the team shaping and developing our approach to client relationships across the European Union. Additionally, you will be supporting our European Intellectual Property team in their marketing and business development targets.

This role is based in one of our German offices, but the European scope requires close cooperation and relationship building with fee earners across European offices and other members of the Marketing &BD team.

The Senior Executive Marketing & BD will support the execution of marketing and business development initiatives, working closely with the BD Manager responsible for European Client Relations.

This role reports to the Head of European Relations, with additional reporting to the BD Manager Dispute Resolution,

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Client development
Working with the Head of European Client Relations, the Client Programme team, Client Partners and partners in the jurisdictions to help implement client development strategies for target clients. Also driving Client Listening within the initiative.
Staying uptodate with the development of our European service offering and products, working with partners and M&BD to define the benefits of the products

- and services for specific target groups
Profile raising, communications and CRM.

Contribute to the formulation of the Europe-focused internal and external communications strategies (including digital) and then implement accordingly, ensuring best practice is observed.

Be a key source of knowledge within the Marketing &BD team about the service offering across Europe
The individual in this role must be familiar with key themes and areas of advice we offer to our clients in the EU, be aware of relevant internal stakeholders and always keep a holistic view to join links were relevant
International and crosssector working
Liaising with sector and regional teams to understand the expertise that the firm can offer to clients and to ensure international cooperation and implementation of the initiative's measures
Raising the profile of our Intellectual Property team in cooperation with M&BD colleagues in local offices, by planning and implementing a variety of marketing and business development measures

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years marketing or BD experience, prior experience in a professional services firm or relevant field is a plus.
University degree in business, marketing or related area preferred. Professional marketing qualification is desirable.
Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills. Familiarity with CRM systems, document management systems, intranets, website etc.
Capable of managing and implementing marketing and BD tasks and projects with a low level of supervision. Has an ability to provide effective challenge to fee earners.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and German.

Self-motivated, with a desire to manage projects to completion and the confidence to put ideas to the partners rather than just following instructions.

Quickly builds and maintains constructive relationships with a variety of different individuals at various levels of seniority.
Well organised with good attention to detail.
Thinks from a client's perspective when managing tasks and considers the value that they can add in everything we do.
Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team, preferably with prior experience in a role with international focus.
This is a fulltime role and may require occasional international travel.
