We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Controller Operations Finance with focus on standard costs and manufacturing cost accounting to join our finance team.


In this position you will be controlling the financials related to manufacturing to ensure the financial health of our plant operations.

You will play a key role in designing and implementing new processes and standards. You will work closely with the operations team to identify demand and drive production planning. In addition, you will oversee reporting, and provide valuable insights to improve productivity, cost efficiency and profitability.

This position is located in Berlin, Germany.


In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Develop, manage, and improve standard cost and further reporting processes. Partner with the global finance team to enable harmonization.
  • Help transform our ERP and tool landscape in the operations finance area.
  • Play a vital role in budgeting and forecasting of ops, cost of sales and profitability KPIs.
  • Partner with the operations team on productivity improvement and cost savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights for cost controls and productivity gains.
  • Anticipate and monitor working capital drivers, such as inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
  • Provide financial support for decisionmaking processes, offering insights on cost implications and recommending costeffective solutions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BS or BA Degree in Finance or Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Proven experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid experience working with ERP systems, ideally even during implementation phase.
  • Strong understanding of cost analysis, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Strong IT skills, which must include advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Fluent in English and German language proficiency.
  • Nice to have but not a must: Knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
