Who You Are
We are looking for a Middleware expert for distributed systems.
This full-time position is based at DFS in Langen, with flexibility to work remotely. It is permanent and can be started immediately.

What You Will Focus on

As part of the modernisation of an existing distributed system, a proprietary Middleware is to be exchanged for a modern solution. As a Middleware expert, you will devise the concept and design this solution

What You Bring

Excellent middleware experience needed, as well as developing using C++17, standard protocols as well as design patterns for Web/Micro-Services
Very good knowledge and experience with standard protocols such as HTTP and WebSocket, as well as design patterns for Web/Micro-Services (e.g. REST)
Excellent experience of developing with C++17 as well as development Toolchain-Tools such as CMake, Static Analysis tools, measurement of test coverage, compilers and sanitizers
You will need to be up to date in the area of test automation tools
You should bring a good knowledge of Jenkins and GitLab
You should be comfortable working with scripting languages such as bash, sh
The ROBOT test framework is heavily used in our projects, we need team members who have experience of this framework
In addition, Linux, Docker and Container are in use
Ideally, you have many years of experience defining message based software designs, preferably in connection with message/Pub-Sub/Eventbased middleware layers (e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ)
You do version control using git and Gitlab
Knowledge of Trac or Jira ticketing system
Good knowledge of DOORS and the Microfocus tools "Dimension" and "ALM"
You should have a good experience in the creation of test procedures, as well as acceptance criteria. The English language will be used in this case (but good German skills are also a prerequisite for working in this position)
