Director Global Key Account for Medical Devices (M/F/d)

Summary


This job is responsible for leading one or more dedicated customer team(s) who is (are) managing global customer accounts, securing customer's satisfaction, delegation of customer needs into the organization, contract negotiations and engaging customer for new projects.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support existing and new customers with full service
  • Keep contact to all operative customer structures and key decision makers
  • Coordinate customer communication (rolling forecast, blanket orders, complain management (NC), supplier reviews)
  • Create and implement a strategic account development plan: Strategic customer observation and analytical evaluation, active initiation of necessary measures; identify customer's pain points, and communicate internally
  • Forecast and Funnel management: Identify new project opportunities (SALESFORCE; ERP) with existing and new strategic accounts
  • Coordination of customer project tasks (NPI, SICR, RA) in collaboration with internal departments
  • Identify sales opportunity in new strategic OEM accounts. Create and implement a strategic account development plan for each new account.
  • Work effectively with Product management and engineering resources to define and develop custom products for OEM accounts.
  • Develop metrics that can be used to evaluate supplier performance within each account.
  • Coordinate information globally with sales representatives as needed with OEMs with global footprint.

General Tasks

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains departmental supervisory staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Has strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management officer and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Broad and deep functional experience. Typically acquired through 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Requires the ability to synthesize multiple inputs. Decision making involves indepth knowledge, creativity, and managerial courage. Requires that the most complex organizational and operational problems are anticipated, identified, defined and resolved to support changing business conditions. Solutions must support the values, strategic direction, and longterm success of the company.
  • Broad business accountability for major projects, business or functional goals. Financial and operating accountability are critical job components.
  • Work requires integrated knowledge of one of the company's major functions, combined with specialized knowledge of the external marketplace and the financial requirements of the business for functionbased planning.
  • Fluent English skills and German ideally at least B2 level or above

Travel Requirements

  • Travel by public transportation including train and airplane on demand
  • Passport for international travel (customer & internal meetings)
