The Biochemistry and Functional Proteomics group is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) for "Improved C-terminomics for protease substrate discovery"

Your tasks
- Develop innovative proteomics methods: Adapt and improve biochemical protocols for Ctermini enrichment, contribute to develop alternative approaches
- Profile Cterminal processing as a PTM in clinically relevant samples
- Identify substrates of clinically relevant proteases and carboxypeptidases
- Help to the operation and maintenance of stateoftheart nanoLCMS/MS systems
- Proactively communicate and interact with project partners in the GRK260
- Document, present and discuss your results at scientific conferences and as peerreviewed publications
Your profile:
- Proven experience in biochemistry, ideally also in proteomics / mass spectrometry
- Knowledge of R, python or similar scripting languages are advantageous
- High proficiency in English (written and oral)
- Motivation, selforganization and team player skills
