YOUR TEAM:

For our department that is responsible for the development of the App Store for the Group, we are looking for an intern to support the planning as well as as the implementation of Android development for the Group App Store.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Develop durable, expandable and innovative Android app solutions (in Java/Kotlin) and concepts within the group to further develop the existing app store for Android apps in the vehicle
Support in concept creation and validation / review in interdisciplinary problems (cloud architecture, software architecture, integration issues)
Create relationships with different PMT internal and external stakeholders (e.g. GitHub, JFrog, Jenkins etc.) and operate as our trusted advisor, ensuring we get the most out of the given PMT solution in our group to develop apps on our own
Link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent groupwide reference Android apps for a variety of use cases (e.g. important helper functionality for the nextgen infotainment solutions of VW group)
Support in building SW development skills (assistance with complicated issues, modern SW development patterns, microservice architectures)
Define, plan and track work packages for the software project team

WHO YOU ARE:

Enrolled student in computer science or a similar field
Knowledge of a modern programming language (Android, Java, Kotlin,.NET, Python, JS etc.) and/or scripting
Knowledge of modern programming patterns (MVC, MVVM, OOP etc.)
Analytical understanding of complex systems and problem solving skills
Structured and independent work, aboveaverage commitment and flexibility
Fluency in written and spoken English
