The Chair of Epidemiology at the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences, Technical University of Munich, has vacant positions to fill as Tutor Advanced Statistics (f/m/d) (Student or Research Assistant) between until with a workload of 10h/week. You will be employed to support the lecture "Advanced Statistics" and the seminars "Applied Statistics" for students of the master programs "Health Science" and "Sport and Exercise Science" by refreshing the elementary knowledge about descriptive and inferential statistics as well as by answering questions on the current topics of the lecture.

Your tasks:

Giving tutorials on "Basics in Statistics" during summer term 2023 (in English)
Prepare content and materials for tutorials
Support of the seminars "Applied Statistics": Answering questions of students and helping them with practical (software) issues (presence required during seminars times)

The listed tasks can be split among several student assistants.

Your skills:

Very good knowledge of the basics of statistics (descriptive and inferential statistics) as well as advanced multivariate methods.
Very good command of English
Experience in using the statistical software R
Confident manners in front of students
Enjoyment of explaining and answering questions
Team work, commitment, ability to work independently, reliability and flexibility
