Your Tasks:

Developing connector housings according to customer requirements and internal specifications, using common development methods
Plan and carry out all engineering activities in compliance with APTIV's internal processes and the project schedule
Workingout of 3D models, completing component

- & assembly drawings using our CAD and PDM system

Manufacturingappropriate component tolerancing, taking into account the plasticspecific

- properties

Doing tolerance calculations, defining the necessary FEA simulations, analyze and evaluate the results
Making functional analyzes and risk assessments when creating D-FMEAs
Technical guidance of and teamwork with external component designers in India
Preparation and implementation of presentations to our customers
Being responsible for the sample validations in the external laboratories, creating test plans and supporting the validation process
Assessing the geometric and physical sample quality
Providing technical help to customers and internal areas such as tool design, sales, production and quality during the development and series phase

Your Background:

Completed engineering degree in general mechanical engineering or comparable disciplines such as mechatronics or plastics technology

- min. 5 years of professional experience in product development, preferable in the automotive sector

Experience in project work with various relevant internal operational units
Experience with plastic molding tools desirable
Very good technical understanding and quick comprehension
Analytical approach and high level of creativity
A high degree of initiative and ability to work in a team
Very good CAD knowledge (Siemens NX&TC)
Communication skills and assertiveness in German and English language
