Six schools combine modern management and entrepreneurship, media and creative industries, technology and IT, music and sound design in modern German and English-language courses.

At the SRH universities, students learn in a purposeful and independent manner according to the specially developed study concept CORE (Competence Oriented Research and Education).

In compact scientifically and practice-based thematic units the students are qualified for professional life by activating teaching as well as competence-oriented exams.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a "Professor for UX Design and Content Creation" in half-time (50%) and within the framework of a permanent employment contract as of April 1, 2024.

The position can be combined with the 50% position also vacant for Leipzig in the same field. In this case, however, travelling between Berlin and Leipzig is essential.

Your duties:

Representation of the competence field UX Design and Content Creation at the Leipzig location
Focus on UX design, user interface design / media production in teaching and research, both in basic and advanced concepts
Acquisition of thirdparty funding through research and transfer activities
Active participation in the development and expansion of existing and new degree programs
Practiceoriented teaching, mainly in English and in digital formats (elearning, blended learning)
Taking on research and development activities
Active and interdisciplinary participation in the academic selfadministration of the university

Your profile:

A university degree in a relevant field is preferred, e.g. UI / UX design or interaction design, media informatics, media design, motion design
Knowledge of programming / scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, C# (e.g. for Unity or Unreal)
Advanced knowledge of audio, video and MR production
Answers to development and design questions in the new media environment with forwardlooking concepts, e.g. in the field of AI, social media and society
Aboveaverage professional and scientific qualifications in the media sector
Very good command of English and the ability and willingness to teach courses in English
Enthusiasm for passing on your practical experience in teaching and applied research to our students as a future junior researcher
Strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills
Gender and diversity competence
Experience in academic selfadministration at universities
Fulfilment of the requirements of 84 of the Thüringer Higher Education Act (ThürHG) for professors
