We are looking for a graduate student (M/F/d) with a high level of initiative to support us in the area of testing hammer drills bits at our Kaufering site.

What does the role involve?:


In this role, you will be part of the Inserts Testing Team, working together with our experienced test engineers on the development of a test rig-based test method for comparing the jamming tendency of different concrete drilling inserts during rebar drilling.

The aim of the research work is to analyse influencing factors of the drilling process, the verification of the test methodology and an evaluation of the process reliability.

The area of responsibility here includes, among other things, the processing of the state of research regarding known influencing factors of the drilling process, as well as the development of test plans for the verification of the test rig (comparison with hand-held tests) and investigations of influencing variables.

This also includes carrying out the tests on the test rig, as well as evaluating and documenting the results.


We have 800 of the world's best engineers developing and testing tomorrow's technical solutions in our innovation center in Liechtenstein and Kaufering.

What you need is:


  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or a comparable field of study
  • Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for practical activities
  • Structured and independent way of working as well as the ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German or English
