The Institute of Geology, Mineralogy and Geophysics at the Faculty of Geosciences is looking for a


research associate (m,f,x) for 3 years, 29,8725 hours per week, TVL E13:

Your tasks:


Your profile:


The following skills are required:


  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary work and scientific exchange within the Research Unit
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with international collaborations
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Very good computer and written and oral skills in English
  • Strong background (MSc or equivalent) in Earth science or related disciplines, ideally with a deeper background in petrology and mineralogy
  • A strong interest in quantitative modelling

The following skills are desirable:


  • Experience in the study of volcanic rocks
  • Experience with analytical equipment (EMPA, XRF, ICP-MS etc.)
  • Coding experience with Matlab, Fortran, C++, etc.
