Job Description Summary:

The Storekeeper O&M, Offshore Wind is responsible for all warehouse related requirements to allow to perform services and maintenance activities on customers site / SOV within his team.

This includes all parts & consumables, logistics, tools & tooling, chemical material (handling and storage according to GE EHS guidelines and legal requirements) and to coordinate daily with your Site Management Team on the SOV or other support functions.

Driving operational excellence, quality and safety is key priority for this role.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Goods movement including order, receive, pick,pack, issue and dispatch inverntory whilst maintaining fully auditable records on ERP system (RACES, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and paper accurately.
  • Ensure that the good movement fits to logistic concept (SOV, CTV, DC and Heli) and customs requirements.
  • Be the point of contact for the GE Site Management representing your team and being able to motivate your team.
  • Maintain a safe, clear and clean environment. Ensure all procedures are followed and communicated to provide accurate Stock and conduct weekly & annual cycle checks and report accuracy.
  • Participate in process & quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your Site Management Team
  • Behave with flexibility to support operational needs whilst maintaining integrity of procedural requirements.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing between the sites to improve offshore warehouse procedures and implement action items on behalf of the site/project manager or stores manager.
  • Able to react on short notice work condition changes due to changes in the planning or weather related.
  • Work with team members to ensure clear hand over at shift change.
  • Track tools and organize in date recertification with external and internal suppliers.
  • Support the site EHS team tracking the safety equipments. Take responsibility that lifting equipment and non personal safety equipment is in date. Ensure that all related certificates are signed and available for inspections according to the country law and GE Renewable Energy regulations.

- and importing in cooperation with the onshore parts & logistics team.

  • Support the site operations team regarding needed purchase orders.
  • Prepare and declare dangerous goods for transport and ensure safe handling of those at site. Document inventory of dangerous goods according to country law (that includes dangerous goods brought by 3rd parties on the SOV)
  • Train new employees in stock process according to operational needs.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Ability and willingness to work offshore in a rotational shift system on a SOV (Service Operations Vessel)
  • Proven ability to work in a crossfunctional and global environment, remote teams, strong team player
  • Fluency in English language

Desired Characteristics:


  • Some experience in servicing of wind turbines and parts management.
  • Especially ERP system knowledge is a must.
  • Experience in processes in handling of chemical goods (appointes person)
  • Slinger & Banksman certification to support lifting operations during team transfers.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills in English, German language skills are a plus
  • Ability to work in complex shift system on a SOV with the peak season of work being usually between March and end of September.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems in warehouse processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Highly committed, willing to travel abroad.
  • Able to work in heights and offshore.
