I'm currently recruiting for a People Relations Manager (EMEA) contractor/ freelancer, for a leading global innovator and developer of audio, imaging and voice technologies for cinemas, home theatres, PCs, mobile phones, and games.
Their People and Places team designs spectacular experiences for people around the globe, curating the conditions for our talent to do their best work and drive business growth.
Mission
Your mission will be to drive the People Relations agenda across the EMEA region.
Whilst taking the lead and "owning" the overall approach to labour relations matters across Europe, you will consider both global and local needs, build strong partnerships with local People Business Partners, US corporate/regional based People Team, Legal, functional specialists and business leaders to enable and support a proactive approach to any change programs.
Your everyday
- Balance both global and local cultures and complexities across Europe to drive optimal outcomes for the company as a global entity.
- Act as the primary People Team interface with the Works Council in Germany on labour relations matters and their interactions with the Managing Director, US, and Europebased specialists.
- Oversee relations with other labour representatives that exist across Europe and as needed, lead negotiations and/or be responsible for internal coordination to support collective consultations and negotiations.
- Resolve and mitigate complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Management of dispute and investigation processes (initiation, management, documentation)
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and leaders as well as stakeholders in best People Relations practices and strategies for managing performance issues as well as any employeeraised or related issues and concerns.
- Mediation and guidance during change processes.
- Work with People Team colleagues, specialists, leaders and works council or employee representative forums to ensure that any potential problems are understood and mitigated and enable business decisions to be effectively implemented.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge & Experience and proven background in Employee Relations and German Labour Law.
- Degree in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations / Human Resources / Law / Business, or any relevant function.
- Fluency in German and English is essential
