Global Chemical Regulations Specialist (M/F/d):

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure compliance of a defined portfolio of ECMS materials with EU-REACH and other applicable global chemical regulations including REACHlike regulations by performing notifications and registrations if necessary.
Ensure license to operate for production and business by registration of new substances and identification of missing registrations and registration gaps.
Support and advise business units with regards to global chemical regulations, especially for REACH.
Represent ECMS in trade associations and consortia, preferably in EU.
Also Represent ECMS in discussion with ECHA and national authorities on REACH issues.
You closely follow policy/political developments in your area of responsibility and assess how and when such political developments/strategies change existing laws and directives. You assess impacts for ECMS, communicat these developments to Leadership in a timely manner and consider ITbased compliance tools.
Maintain relevant data in the used SAP EHS module and supporting EHS master data quality improvement.
Provide global chemical regulatory reporting.
Monitoring and management of chemical regulations in SAP-GTS system.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in natural sciences (chemistry preferred), Master's or PhD degree preferably (chemistry desirable).
Minimum of 6 years professional experience in chemical or product regulations, including REACH.
Specific expertise in the EU-REACH Regulation and related IT-Systems like IUCLID, REACH-IT.
Specific expertise and in SAP EHS Master Data Systems.
Solid knowledge of global chemical regulations.
Experience and knowledge on Product Safety tasks is expected as well.
Business standard German (written and oral), very good knowledge in English.
Good communication skills and goaloriented work style.
