In order to support procurement sector, Airbus Commercial is looking for a


Supply Officer On-Board Power & Safety Systems (D/F/M)


The Supply Management Team On-Board Power & Safety Systems secures the fulfillment of Airbus Final Assembly Line, Pre-Final Assembly Line and Integrators needs of Equipments to avoid production planning disturbances, providing prompt updates on the deliveries status to the internal stakeholders, following the Equipment Procurement Operations' Supply Management procedures.

We are managing the supply for equipment such as air systems, auxiliary power systems, power generation, conversion and distribution, exterior lights, fire detection and extinguishing and overheat detection.

Our suppliers are mainly based in Europe and America.

The team is based in Hamburg and Toulouse, we are looking for a supply officer for our team based in Hamburg.


Your location:

The largest production site for civil aircraft can be found in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe means that you will travel to work by ship. The vibrant port of Hamburg is a green and cosmopolitan city brimming with culture.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Forecasting activities
  • Placement and/or follow up of purchase orders
  • Communications with suppliers and internal stakeholders (supply chain quality, buyers, engineering, supply management production interfaces, logistic coordinators, program representatives, warehouse operators)
  • Support New Parts Introduction with Multi Functional Team / support operational action(QSR, retrofit plan,..)
  • Manage and monitor the rework Purchase Order with the supplier and the strategic buffer to maintain the right level of coverage to protect Airbus production plants
  • Raise Practical Problem Solving on recurrent issues.
  • Attendance to performance review meetings and dedicated meetings with suppliers
  • Attendance to internal team meetings
  • Reporting activities & associated data analysis (Supplier deliveries versus versus production demand Line of Balances for critical parts, Anticipation of risks, mitigating impact of Missing Parts back and route back to Purchase Order)
  • Inventory management activities and contribution to improvement projects
  • Use of Airbus ERP System (SAP PDA/PGI/PEA)
  • Maintain the Master Data up to date and use of other specific tools

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Procurement/Supply Chain or similar and several years of professional experience in the frame of the main task/responsibilities (e.g. monitoring of suppliers).
  • 2 years experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement, including Process management aspect
  • Communication and Change management skills
  • Be customer focused, understand priorities = knows how to priorities in case of emergencies
  • Digital background
  • Eager to learn to work with new tools / be open to change and to continuous improvement
  • A degree in Supply Chain or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English and German sufficient to fully engage in negotiations and team meetings. French would be really appreciated.
  • Enjoy a dynamic environment with a lot of different tools and flows of material.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
  • Working with suppliers in other time zones, especially America.
  • Working with colleagues in Airbus production sites, mainly in Europe.
  • Shows a lot of rigor, reliability and concentration at work.
