Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Germany is represented at 3 locations in Germany. At our Frankfurt am Main location we provide an overall team of around 50 colleagues.

Overview of Role

  • Manage a team of financial controllers and accountants (currently 2 professionals)

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all accounting and reporting processes, including:
  • Monthly statutory reporting (HGB) and reporting to the Group (IFRS)
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to the regulator (Bafin/Buba)
  • Financial planning (budgeting and forecasting)
  • Preparation of the annual report
  • Group environmental reporting
  • Act as the primary contact person for senior management with regards to all finance matters, including p&l/balance sheet analysis, tax questions, and technical accounting questions
  • Manage internal and external auditors with regards to all finance matters, incl. the yearly financial audit, as well as the yearly audit on environmental reporting
  • Act as a sparring partner for various Group Finance stakeholders
  • Oversee other processes such as:
  • Client invoicing process
  • Travel expenses
  • Fleet management (company cars)
  • Expense Policy and Expense approvals within the limits of the Expense Policy
Education and Qualifications

  • University degree (MSc is a plus) in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field; CFA is a plus
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Proven work experience as a senior finance manager (preferably with a bank or a wealth manager) or financial auditor
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably DATEV or SAP
  • Proficiency in MS Office, most of all Excel
  • Language skills: German C2, English C
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (e.g. ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and leaders across countries and divisions, as well as within the team)
  • Handson mentality (i.e. support the team)
  • Competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Solid analytical and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Assertiveness
