SUMMARY OF ROLE


The Commercial Excellence Leader is responsible for optimizing an organization's sales and marketing processes to improve overall performance and profitability.

They develop and implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness, pricing strategies, customer relationship management and market analysis.

This role focuses on streamlining operations, ensuring consistent customer experiences and driving revenue growth through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

The commercial Excellence Leader plays a crucial role in aligning sales and marketing efforts with the company's business objectives and customer needs.


SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Short-term perspectives

  • Lead three organizations under Sales Operations I.e.
  • Customer Care (xBU),
  • Digital Sales Platforms (MyEmerson), CRM, Portals and
  • Indirect Procurement for the DACH Region
  • Set up a cross business units customer care organization and lead the team
  • Add small project management to the customer care organization (nonSYSS projects)
  • Be the Change agent with OSE, ISE, Digital Sales, BU Back Offices in Cluj and Sczekes to implement change in processes, skills, management systems (KNPIs, Reports, Meetings) and behavior
  • Leverage the back offices and ensure support for business units
  • Optimize process flows, interfaces, tools to increase customer satisfaction and sales team efficiencies by taking over expediting and after sales processes.
  • Communicate internally and externally
  • Educate and innovate
  • Constantly measure internal (Sales) and external customer satisfaction
  • Set up reports to measure customer responsiveness and identify root causes of bad performance
  • Set up a nonconformance costing model to quantify quality impact (late delivery, bad quality, rework, penalties etc.)
  • Continuous improvement of the processes and tools
Long-term perspectives

  • Set up a Commercial Excellence Organization and expand the function to cover more areas of Commercial Excellence like Sales Competency development, Customer Segmentation, New Business Models, Sales Tools or Pricing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Team management experience
  • Masters degree in economics or comparable
  • Multifunctional matrix and stakeholder management
  • Change management
  • Leading Sales teams or project management / customer care organization
