Export Control:

  • Ensuring compliance with German export control in daytoday operations.
  • Reviewing approval requirements according to German export control.
  • Obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation.
  • Applying for individual permits, monitoring and fulfilling conditions.
  • Ensuring correct processing for deliveries under general permits and compliance with relevant reporting obligations.
  • Screening business partners against sanctions lists.
  • Indepth knowledge of export control classification.
  • Point of contact for export control queries in the company, liaison with BAFA.
  • Reporting to and training the export control responsible person.
  • Designing and conducting employee training, including in collaboration with other locations.
  • Assisting with foreign trade audits.
  • Determining the applicability of US export control law. Requires solid knowledge of ITAR/EAR and 600 series.
Customs:

  • Authorization management.
  • Point of contact for customs office.
  • Point of contact for operational customs processing inhouse.
  • Informing and training on operational customs processing.
  • Profound knowledge of customs tariffs.
  • Indepth knowledge of operational export customs clearance (ATLAS, customs processing software).
  • Reviewing relevant customs master data and maintaining in ERP.
  • Monitoring preference calculations.
  • Reviewing import processing and tax assessments.
Global Trade:

  • Implementing and monitoring group policies in the relevant area.
  • Various reporting activities.
  • Participation in the international environment.
Other Responsibilities:

  • Developing work and organizational instructions.
  • Involvement in ERP projects.
  • Reviewing external economic master data in the ERP system.
  • Contribution to interdisciplinary topics and projects.
  • Participation in crosssite issues.
Profile:


  • Specialized qualifications.
  • Commercial vocational training with extensive further training in export control and customs, alternatively training with German customs.
  • Extensive professional experience in companies with significant export activities, preferably with a military product component.
  • English proficiency at least B2, preferably C1 level.
