ABOUT THE ROLE

The
Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking a full-time
_Program Associate (M/F/d)_ to join the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium (GACC) program within the Policy & Advocacy Team.

The Global Anti-Corruption Consortium (GACC) is a ground-breaking partnership between Transparency International and investigative journalists at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) who have teamed up to increase the impact of journalistic investigations for anticorruption policy advocacy and legal accountability work.


The Project Associate will support the performance of the projects (currently four) contributing to the GACC program with a strong focus on donor reporting deliverables, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and contribution to other aspects of implementation.


The Project Associate will work closely with the Program Manager and will contribute to the portfolios of all other GACC team members.

They will also help to ensure team coordination, efficient planning, close collaboration with National Chapters and partners as well as monitoring of the actions for impact reporting.

salary starting EUR 35,175 gross per year depending on relevant experience

Currently we can offer an employment contract limited for a duration of 1 year, with the option of extension


Working Hours:
full time [100%; 40 hours per week]


Location:
Transparency International Secretariat (TI-S), Berlin - with occasional international travel as needed


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Based in the Policy & Advocacy Team, the
_Program Associate_ will:

  • Proactively support day-to-day project implementation and ensure consistency with TI-S processes and procedures
  • Assist with MEL system development and implementation, which will include data collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting, as well as other MEL activities
  • Support information management, including maintaining uptodate, organised and accurate filing systems
  • Support the organisation of events/meetings and related logistics; contribute to appropriate information management relating to this, including preparing documentation before and after events/meetings
  • Support the preparation of project outputs as needed, including narrative/accountability reports, trainings, events, presentations, publications, communications materials, web content, etc.
  • Support the financial administration of the project (monitoring budgets, contracting support, organising funding transfers, reimbursements, invoices etc.)
  • Contribute to portfolios of different GACC team members, supporting the program's policy advocacy and legal accountability work, as needed
  • Respond to requests for information, researching in order to provide sufficient responses or escalating where needed
  • Carry out desk research on specific topics to provide input supporting the development of new proposals, concept notes, briefing notes, reports, etc.
  • Contribute to the overall functioning of the team by providing proactive and ad hoc support where necessary

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • University degree in social sciences, administration, journalism, economics, management, or another relevant field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferably with an international NGO or an international organisation working on administrative support, project management, budget/financial monitoring and MEL support or related
  • Experience with donorfunded projects in the civil society field and donor rules and regulations, including experience of supporting MEL and impact reporting
  • Solid understanding of budget/financial management processes (working in collaboration with Project Accountants)
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong written communication skills; professional language proficiency in English; additional languages (particularly Spanish and French) an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in organising events with diverse international partners an advantage
  • Demonstrated interest in good governance and corruption related issues and advocacy
  • Commitment to the values and principles of Transparency International
  • Strong IT literacy, in particular MS Excel
