Beschreibung

Nuveen is seeking a Head of I&O Service Governance to drive the associated governance processes and disciplines across Nuveen International I&O function.

The individual will have a proven track record managing Service Governance activities within an IT department.

This will include working with Nuveen operational service leads and provide Third Party Oversight, Governance on Suppliers and vendors and Inter-affiliate services of internal I&O services provided to different Legal Entitles across the Nuveen business.

The individual will also lead the management and development of the the I&O Project management Office.


The role will collaborate with service tower leaders across functions to co-ordinate regular service governance reviews to senior management, ensuring KPI Metrics are measured and reported effectively.


The position requires high calibre strategic and business decision-making, technology and strong financial awareness, as well the initiative, influencing skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the Nuveen/TIAA Technology group and business stakeholders.


Key responsibilities:
She or he will oversee the Technology Governance of all aspects of the Nuveen's Infrastructure & Operations services. This role will report to the Global Head of Infrastructure & Technology and will work closely with Nuveen Technology, Operations and TIAA counterparts to maximize the value of the firm's technology investments, leverage resources, and spending power with a focus on lowering cost to serve and improving margins


The role is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the overall Service Governance of the I&O function including:


  • Financial management

  • Controller for I&O budget


  • Infrastructure
    PMO

  • Coordination/Reporting of all project activities


  • Vendor Management

  • Commercial & Contractual Management of MSPs/Vendors


  • IT Compliance

  • Co-Ordinating ITC Regulatory responses and Risk management responses
Accountabilities

Governance

  • Financial Management of the Nuveen International RTB and GTB Infrastructure budgets, managing a regular interlock with Financial controllership, ensuring data integrity and reporting to leadership
  • Develop, manage and report I&O Performance, Cost To Serve Metrics where specified
  • Work with internal and external auditors as necessary to facilitate audits and provide the required evidence. Ensure compliance with these audits by building appropriate departmental checks throughout the year and close audit findings by implementing or overseeing appropriate process changes.
  • Management of I&O related Issues/Risks register within associated controlled frameworks
  • Ensure Nuveen Regulatory requirements within technology are tracked and adhered too
  • Provide thought leadership in adoption of standards and governance models
  • Ensure Nuveen International remains compliant with the regulators and 3rd party support contracts
  • Design and recommend continuous improvement of Governance processes
  • Drive compliance with policies and technical standards and commercial frameworks.

PMO

  • Own the overall Nuveen International I&O technology
    PMO.

PMO function and guide/lead resources:


  • Project Planning; RAIDs; Change Control; Governance Reporting; Documentation Management
  • Developing, implementing, and updating resource allocations plans needed for projects, taking account of capacity/demand/allocation and cost implications.
  • Track related project budgets and performance
  • Drive a positive, proactive, delivery and customerfocused culture and set of values across the team.
Commercial Procurement

  • Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Implement commercial risk mitigation strategies, including securing fixed pricing agreements on relevant commodity types to drive cost advantages.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to enhance overall procurement efficiency.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for innovation and valueadded services.
  • Oversee the management and renegotiation of key supplier relationships ensuring a seamless operational model. These include large £multimillion pa contracts with major players and specialist partners.
