This role is an online marketer's dream. We are pioneering a market expansion on top of a developer tool product that the developer community loves.

As our Online Marketing Lead you will be responsible for leading our approach on how to market the ever expanding number of datasets and use cases.

You will have strong opinions on how a SEO strategy should look like in the GPT-4 era for Millions of dlt datasets and our upcoming paid product.

About dltHub:

dltHub is the company behind "dlt".

With"dlt" anyone who knows a little bit of Python can do extract/load data engineering tasks, via an idiomatic, "Pythonic" library that is intuitive for anyone who has used Python or Pandas.

Similar to how dbt democratized the T layer of ELT with SQL, dltHub democratizes EL with Python. This innovation taps into the broader shift towards Python, particularly given its foundational role in ML/AI.

dltHub is based in Berlin and New York City. It was founded by data and machine learning veterans.

We are backed by Dig Ventures and many technical founders from companies such as Hugging Face, Instana, Matillion, Miro, and Rasa.


Since our soft launch at the end of April 2023, dlt has seen huge open source growth in users, putting it on a path to become an OSS standard for creating data pipelines.

Python users need data sources beyond the traditional short-tail of 100 data sources. In contrast, within 6 months dlt users already created and added 621 datasets in production.

We envision dlt as the global data loading standard for Millions of datasets, with a collaborative community, akin to GitHub.


Your Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Open source is at the heart of dlt. You will work closely with the GTM team to understand our community and community contributions. You will improve existing content marketing process for the open source product that address community needs.
  • Formulate our overall online marketing strategy
  • Develop and execute the paid marketing strategy for the paid product.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to understand user needs and incorporate feedback into marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the technical team on how to build internal GPT4 tooling to help you execute
  • Technical Growth: Explore and execute on technical growth strategies with the help of the team.
  • Social channels: develop a strategy and execute on social media marketing with the help of the technical working students
  • Work closely with the data team to track goals and experiments.
  • You work together with our team to deepen your understanding of the Python data ecosystem and the needs of data professionals representing our audience.

Requirements:


Who You Are:


  • You are a numbers driven professional who operates with clear goals and hypotheses.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in marketing to a technical audience.
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.

Nice to Have:


  • You previously worked closely with data teams and are familiar with the space, tooling and processes.
  • You have some experience with Python or other developer tools
  • You have worked on an open source project, be if professionally or in your spare time
  • You have contributed to developer communities
