About Us:

This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, Bavaria, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Key contact person for the Clean Energy group on all questions relating to product quality and the manufacturing processes of the plant in Japan
  • Understand the requirements of European customers in the clean energy market for product quality and manufacturing processes of our products
  • Collaborate with our colleagues at the manufacturing plant in Japan, to align customer requirements with the quality management system and their manufacturing processes
  • Key contact for quality requirements of European customers for our plant in Japan
  • Assisting our contract manager in reviewing quality assurance agreements and negotiations with customer
  • Planning and execution of onsite and supplier audits in/for the plant in Putzbrunn, with preparation and followup as well as the reporting
  • Supporting our quality management representative in improving quality management processes

Required Qualifications:


  • Degree in a technical discipline or comparable qualification with at least 5 years of work experience in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of the quality management standards ISO9001/IATF16949 as well as relevant guidelines of the automotive industry associations VDA/AIAG.
  • Qualification of a 2nd party auditor as well as initial experience with onsite and supplier audits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Interest in designing processes, navigating through uncertainties, and an independent way of working
  • Teamorientated collaboration style with local and global teams
  • Willingness to cooperate with customers and suppliers directly
  • Willingness to travel, also outside Europe (520%), depending on demand

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience in the Automotive Industry would be an advantage
  • Experience with Japanese culture and/or language would be preferable
  • Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
