Satair - an Airbus Services Company (100% subsidiary of Airbus) - is looking for a
Demand Planner (d/f/m) to join the Planning team in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, Germany at the earliest possible start date.


The Planning Team is responsible for sizing the global inventory for all Satair warehouses to deliver the required material availability to support after sales commercial and support commitments.


Your responsibilities will focus on the Demand Planning perimeter for our Satair Services - securing Service Levels and supporting Commercial campaigns with focus on Material Inventory Planning for IMS and Customer Solutions, and ensuring a successful handover of consolidated demand forecast Inputs towards Operational Planning.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Management of Material Planning activities for allocated customers, including close collaboration with the complete Satair Supply Chain, Commercial, Quality and Provisioning Engineering organisations.

This includes the complete Service lifecycle:

From supporting the Commercial business case creation, to scope preparation, service EIS preparation, through to securing in-service Planning operations in-line with contracts.


  • Responsibility over respective customer inventory and allocation to appropriate stocking locations, balancing Service and 'other business' commitments.
  • Close collaboration with onsite Local Planners to forecast customer level material requirements.
  • Carry out Service forecast consolidation and Economy of Scale realization to drive service performance optimization and improvements by utilizing new big data and analytical tools.
  • Collaboration with the Product Demand Manager to promote additional revenue streams via commonality with existing Services within their remit.

Your boarding pass

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, business administration, business informatics or equivalent
  • 35 years of professional experience (ideally within an After Sales or an Engineering environment) and a solid understanding of supply chain management
  • Ability to analyse processes from a financial perspective
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft and/or Engineering Data
  • Solid experience with SAP, data analytics and programming languages (such as Python) are desirable

As a person

  • Ability to act as a strong communicator and you are at ease presenting your finding to a senior management level.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in a project environment and you are able to get validation and buyin.
  • Solid level of English, German is a plus.
  • This role will involve some travel for business once to twice per year mainly worldwide for onsite campaign support (primarily during Service launch) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly
