Duties:


  • Serves as the organizational Command Supply Discipline Program Coordinator and advises leadership with regulatory compliance regarding logistics operations.
  • Briefs management on program status and recommends actions and initiatives to enhance logistics management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supports the Logistics Management program performing supply management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logístical actions required to support a specified mission or other designated program.
  • The work involves identifying the specific requirements for funding, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure the needed support is provided.
  • Serves as logístical liaison for supply activities.
  • Reviews/validates request for equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with applicable authorization documentation.
  • Ensures accountability and management of all hand receipts.

  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
  • May be required to work overtime outside normal duty hours, on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to perform business related travel up to 10% of the time.
  • The employee must possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license and maintain a government driver's license to operate nontactical vehicle/transportation motor pool (NTV/TMP) up to five tons.
  • A physical examination is required due to heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Current DoD Employees: If a current permanent CES employee, you shall be granted administrative return rights. If not a current permanent CES employee, you may be granted administrative return rights if agreed to by your CONUS organization.
  • In accordance with DoD CES Personnel System Implementation Guidance for Overseas Rotations and Administrative Return Rights, employees must be able to satisfy the rotation requirement and tour limitations in DoD Instruction Volume 1230.

This position is in the Technician/Administrative Support Category at the Full Performance Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by
    (1) processing supply forms or other documentation pertaining to receipt, issue, transfer, or shipment of property, general DoD supply discipline;
    (2) coordinating logístical support activities, property book management, and/or materiel accountability; and
    (3) warehouse and stock room management, generating requisition and disposition documentation, and maintaining a comprehensive inventory program.
  • Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
