Research Assistant / Postdoc (m-f-d) - to decipher the cellular and molec-

ular mechanisms of risk factors contributing to early pancreatic cancer

development
The position is full time.

The position is available as soon as possible for a duration of three years.

13 TV-L.


Tasks:


  • In vivo studies in mice on the role of pancreatitis and obesity as risk factors for early pancreatic carcinogen
- esis challenging a novel, humanized pancreatitis mouse model and an inducible pancreatic cancer mouse

model

  • Validation experiments in mouse 2D and 3D ex vivo models and in in vitro cell culture models
  • Analyses ranging from immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, multispectral imaging to transcript
and protein level assessment using transcriptomics or proteomics

  • Writing of animal protocols and peerreviewed publications
  • The possibility of scientific qualification is given

Requirements:


  • Master degree in the fields of life sciences (biochemistry, biology, immunology or related)

  • Strong background in cellular/molecular biology, cell culture and mouse experiments
  • High interest or experience in experiments with genetic tumor, pancreatic cancer and/or obesity mouse
models is a plus

  • Entrepreneurship, ability of working independently, with high motivation, flexibility and innovative and cre
- ative thinking, as well as team spirit and good communication skills are a must

  • Statistical and basal programming expertise such as Rknowledge are a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English
