We are looking for a
Director, Product Management (all genders) to join our
Logistics team and help our riders create an amazing customer delivery experience.

Our Android, iOS and web apps help connect our riders with restaurants and customers, to facilitate deliveries, and that has a direct impact on the work and the life of users around the world.

This is a pivotal role in the business, handling teams that are on the critical path.

You will manage an overall team of ~8-15 PMs and Group PMs (middle layer), blending leadership and coaching with your own individual contribution.

The role also requires decent technical acumen to be able to understand systems architecture of our logistics and order management systems.

The wide customer base for this product portfolio (real-life Riders, regional operations teams, and other engineering teams) means this role will expose you to a wide range of related topics, almost all of them of critical importance to the business, and this would suit someone who wants to work on a diverse set of related topics.

Working with your department, across 10+ other teams, you will serve as an internal/external liaison between engineering, design, operations, and executive management, building product and tech solutions that power products which in turn serve over 20M customers in 50 countries.

The role is based in our Berlin headquarters and offers visa sponsorship and relocation support.

Your mission:

  • Manage, coach and help unlock the potential of 35 Group Product Managers (and some ICs as well), driving product best practices, performance, and accountability.
  • Create a compelling vision, mission, and roadmap for your product portfolio, one that energizes and builds momentum within your teams.
  • Identify, conceptualise and develop new features and products, as well as improvements to existing products.
  • Be a leader in championing your product across all stakeholders, internal and external, including regional country teams, marketing etc.
  • Develop, lead and implement projects such as companywide gotomarket plans. Ensure timely delivery of projects in collaboration with other departments and functions.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, uncovering problem spaces on the ground and informing new product features that solve for local users and local businesses.
  • Build systems that allow your teams to gather and use quantitative and qualitative data, to create hypotheses, to make informed product decisions, and to test assumptions early to reduce risk upfront.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, assisting and even troubleshooting if needed to ensure that products are competitive and marketable.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design leaders, and other colleagues sharing knowledge on product developments and issues, to discuss and implement effective solutions for your teams and for the wider department.
  • Establish efficient A/B testing processes, ensuring your teams work with product analysts and data scientists to validate and iterate product increments that demonstrate customer and business value.

Your heroic skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of prior experience working in tech roles, with a minimum of 4 years as a people manager in a product role, with a proven ability to inspire, further grow team members, whilst keeping them accountable.
  • Previous experience in conceptualizing B2B product solutions, and engaging with business and/or strong international stakeholders. B2C experience is also a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication in order to get others on board of your ideas.
  • Datadriven and impactoriented; very comfortable with metrics and KPIs. You know how to translate strategy into action using OKR frameworks.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders, partners and executive management.
  • BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent).
