  • Your responsibilities and tasks:
GEA is one of the world's largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.

Within our HR Operations service center, we prepare and secure an accurate payroll for all our employees worldwide.


For our Hub in Berlin, we are looking for a Payroll Team Lead to manage our Europe payroll team remotely.

The team (17 FTE) is located in every country where GEA is present in Europe to coordinate our payroll processes (inhouse and outsourced).


Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising our Europe Payroll team
  • Coordinating the provision of a quality and professional service to employees to resolve pay enquiries, issues and complaints
  • Coordination of payroll projects including steps such as Integration and Carve out
  • Being a point of contact for different stakeholders, such as: Country Management, Finance and Vendors
  • Monitoring service level agreements, align on appropriate actions if figures are not met
  • Supervising troubleshoots, updates and configurations of payroll, time and attendance systems
  • Cooperating with a wider HR focused Team, especially HR Admins for Master Data Management
  • Preparing operational summaries on payroll activities

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Technology or similar
  • Previous working experience as a Payroll Supervisor for 25 years
  • Handson experience with Payroll and strong administrative skills
  • Knowledge of income tax, social security, pension, statutory leaves, and other payroll related topics
  • Problemsolving and solutiondriven attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Experience in inhouse Payroll and outsourcing Payroll
  • A full professional knowledge of English is a strict requirement. Knowledge of German, French or Italian would be a plus.
