Who will you be joining?


Risk Engineering & Consulting in AZ SE Global Commercial - Business Transformation is responsible for enabling international best practice to become common practice across the Allianz Group, thereby generating a real and enduring competitive advantage for the Group.


Group Risk Engineering & Consulting supports Allianz companies to improve the performance of commercial business with common topics such as underwriting strategy, risk selection, technical underwriting incl.

pricing, portfolio management, product development, underwriting processes, cycle management, AZ Multinational, underwriting governance, loss control/risk engineering, catastrophe risk management and underwriting, development & transfer of best practices, Underwriting Academy support and special initiatives.

Results are reported to senior management, Board Sponsors and Group Committees.


The members of AZ SE Global Commercial have great latitude to design and drive activities with high impact and radiation across the Allianz Group.


We are looking for an intern to contribute to our activities within Global Commercial / Business Transformation / Risk Engineering & Consulting team.


How can you make an impact?

  • Communications across Allianz Group / Allianz SE and Allianz Operating Entities
  • Working on Claims impact analyses
  • Working on databases and establishing risk assessment forms
  • Evaluation of international employers tax regulations
  • Participating in daily project work

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent in English and German in speaking and writing
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft Office package, especially Microsoft Excel (writing Macros), Word and PowerPoint
  • Good communication in multicultural environment (listening /understanding)
  • Understanding of organizational
- and process-design

  • Analytical skills and proactive team player
  • Highly motivated and used to work in a selforganized way
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance business would be a plus
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university or (for an internship) a gap year
  • Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)
