We are looking for highly motivated students (f/m/x) to write their Bachelor Thesis or Master Thesis in the field of developing novel phage-derived antibacterials.

Joing our lab means that you will have the possibility to deepen and expand your knowledge in the fields mentioned under responsibilites.

Responsibilities:


  • Isolation, characterization, and preparation of phages for potential therapeutic use
  • Studying how phages interact with their target bacteria in both in vitro and in vivo
  • Studying the impact of phage infection on gut bacterial communities' composition and activity for engineering the human microbiome
  • Identifying, producing, and examining the novel phagederived antibacterial
Your qualifications

  • Student of Life Scienes (incl. Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology)
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Immatriculation in a German University
  • Willingness to learn
