Wanted:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic working student to join our team to work on improving AI deployment to hardware by investigating and extending HW description languages for dedicated HW, AI and deep learning.

As a working student, you will work alongside our researchers and developers to contribute to the development of new AI and deep learning techniques to efficiently and flexibly deploy AI to different HW platforms.

To strengthen our teams we are looking for a

Working Student HW description languages for AI (M/F/d)

Your profile:

Currently enrolled as a student in Computer/Data Science, Electrical Engineering/IT, or any related field.
Knowledge and experience in machine learning and deep learning techniques.
Knowledge and experience with HW architectures of accelerators, RISC-V etc.
Knowledge and experience with HW description languages.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (Preferably PyTorch but not restricted)
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your tasks:

Research and analyze existing description languages and frameworks that support:
Describing a specific hardware-based AI accelerator
Mapping of deep neural networks to the internals of that HW
Evaluation of expected execution KPIs of the deep neural networks on the accelerators based on the mapping of algorithm to HW description.
Build-Up a show case with a specific artificial intelligence use case (autonomous driving pedestrian detection)
Evaluate the identified frameworks and languages according to their suitability for different use case
Identify gaps and implement additional functionalit
Collaborate with other team members of the AI research project to integrate with the MLOps pipeline, Green-AI and simulation
Prepare technical reports, articles and presentations summarizing research findings.
